Yuri did not actually admit his guilt in court, he explained that he did not intend to mock the national flag and only accidentally liked it.
Initially, an administrative case was brought against Yuri under Part 2 of Article 19.11 of the Administrative Code and punished with a fine, and later a criminal case was also initiated. Yuri has a minor child

Krichkovsky refused the services of a lawyer, and explained to the court that on New Year's Eve he drank a glass and under the influence of emotions left an offensive comment, which he later completely forgot. Therefore, I was surprised when in May 2022 he was called to the police department, where he was familiarized with the contents of the message. At the same time, he was detained.

He lived in Ukraine for many years, and in 2019 he married a Ukrainian woman there. A daughter was born into the family. Dmitry did not serve in the Belarusian army, but in Ukraine he was taken into the Armed Forces of Ukraine, into the supply service. So the man found himself in the demarcation zone as a watchman; his tasks included guarding a military warehouse. He worked there from March to October 2021, at the junction between the self-proclaimed DPR/LPR and the territory controlled by Ukraine.
When Dmitry lost his Belarusian passport, he contacted the Belarusian embassy in Kyiv, where he was given a temporary document to replace his passport. The embassy also advised to come to the Republic of Belarus for a full-fledged passport - and Dmitry returned to his homeland in October 2021.
Immediately after crossing the border, Zhunusov was detained. For two days without a break, he was interrogated by the KGB on the topic of “terrorism” and “transportation of weapons” from Ukraine to Belarus.
No such facts were found, but on October 25, 2021, the man was transferred from the Brest temporary detention center to the Brest pre-trial detention center. And they accused him of “mercenarism” (Part 1 of Article 361-3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus).
According to human rights activists, he will be released in the winter of 2024.
