Borisov photographer who was detained on June 22, 2023. Security forces searched the house and took away computer equipment. After this, Zenkov was immediately taken to Minsk, where he was kept for some time in the temporary detention center on Akrestsin, and then transferred to pre-trial detention center No. 1.
As BAJ wrote , the photographer was detained in July 2020. In September, police officers came to Zenkov to “warn him about the inadmissibility of violating the law.”
Alexander Zenkov has worked as a freelance photographer since 1998, collaborating with regional independent publications.
On April 16, 2024, Alexander had a hearing of his appeal.
The man was accused of participating in protests in Minsk in 2020, entering the roadway and blocking public transport. According to the court ruling, during the march he shouted the slogan “Long Live Belarus” and also “ used a poster with images of people with bodily injuries as protest symbols.” Evgeniy admitted guilt.
After the verdict was announced, the man was released from custody in the courtroom.
Evgeniy has a secondary specialized education, is registered as an individual entrepreneur and is raising two minor children.
On March 19, 2026, he was pardoned after another visit to Minsk by US President Donald Trump's special representative, John Cole (among a group of 235 prisoners left in Belarus).

It is reported that in August 2023, Khachaturov “deliberately tore the national flag from the building of one of the shopping centers in Bobruisk, breaking the flagpole, after which he held it in his hands and waved it above himself.”
Evgeniy fully admitted his guilt in the charges brought against him.
The hearing of the appeal against the verdict is scheduled for January 21, 2024. Presumably the sentence was replaced by restrictions of freedom without direction.

Pro-government Telegram channels reported that Vyacheslav was detained in late July 2023 in Grodno while returning to Belarus from abroad, and that he allegedly left around a thousand comments in "extremist" chats and channels. Vyacheslav is a married resident of Minsk and a paintball enthusiast. According to these channels, security forces were able to identify him because he signed his Telegram account with his real name. The indictment states that he posted comments on the "Real Belarus" channel, and an expert examination concluded that the text contained negative and obscene statements directed at Lukashenko and Putin.
In a confessional video on a pro-government channel, Alexander says that he was detained for sending a video of military equipment to a chat. At that time, he was allegedly scared, so he posted the video out of emotion. “In this chat there was a narrative that hostilities were about to begin between Belarus and Ukraine,” says the engineer.
The video shows screenshots from the chat. The explanation for the video with military equipment says that it is moving along the M1 highway towards Brest. It is unknown when this was filmed.
In the video , Alexander says that he works as a karate trainer and was charged with making a video of military equipment and posting it on an “extremist” telegram channel. The detainee also said that in 2020 he hung ribbons on poles and signs and posted leaflets along the road.
On April 19, 2024, an appeal hearing was held and the verdict came into force.
