The defendant in the case of July 14, 2020, when protesters defended themselves from riot police, was convicted on December 31, 2020. In November 2021, he was transferred to prison regime. The appeal was considered on March 26, 2021, and the verdict came into force.
On March 28, 2024, he was released after fully serving the sentence imposed by the court.
4 years imprisonment under strict security conditions
A political activist from Mogilev was sentenced to 3 years of restriction of freedom in an open correctional facility for insulting a judge. In March 2021, a new criminal case was opened against Vladimir, and in June he was sentenced to 2 years in a general regime colony for “evasion from serving his sentence.” He was accused of violating the conditions, such as lying on the bed at unauthorized times. Vladimir claimed that the case was fabricated due to his demands for labor rights. On April 20, 2022, he was transferred to prison regime.
On January 19, 2023, he was released after fully serving the sentence imposed by the court.
2 years imprisonment in a general regime colony
A protest participant was convicted of removing the balaclava from a riot police officer.
In September 2021, the court decided to change Natalya’s regime to prison.
On February 18, 2022, she was released thanks to the efforts of the Swiss authorities.
2.5 years of imprisonment under strict security conditions
Ivan was detained for attacks on the building of pre-trial detention center No. 1 and the Minsk City Court in Minsk as a sign of solidarity with political prisoners. He was sentenced to 7 years, but after filing an appeal the term was reduced to three and a half years. On February 20, 2021, he was transferred to prison regime.
He was released on parole on January 29, 2022. In accordance with the document issued upon release, his term of imprisonment was reduced by 1 year as part of the amnesty project of May 15, 2020. The remainder of the sentence was calculated at the rate of 1.5 days in a pre-trial detention center for 1 day in a colony.
3.5 years of imprisonment under enhanced security conditions
Detained and convicted for the events that occurred on August 10, 2020 in Brest. During the protest he was beaten.
In December 2021, he was transferred to prison regime.
On March 28, 2024, he was released after fully serving the sentence imposed by the court.
4 years imprisonment under strict security conditions
A blogger from Brest, creator of the YouTube channel “People’s Reporter” and press secretary of Svetlana Tikhanovskaya’s initiative group, was detained on June 15, 2020. He was convicted under Part 1 of Article 342 and Article 369 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.
On December 21, 2021, Alexander was transferred to prison regime.
Released in December 2022 after fully serving the sentence imposed by the court.

A resident of Zhlobin was detained on suspicion of participating in a protest recorded by a store camera. Initially, Evgeniy admitted his guilt, but then stated that it was under pressure. At trial he pleaded not guilty. Charged under articles 342 and 364 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.
In May 2022, Evgenia’s punishment was tightened and he was transferred to prison regime.
According to human rights activists, he will be released in the fall of 2023.
