She was kidnapped on September 7, 2020 and forcibly brought to the Belarusian-Ukrainian border for deportation from the country. There Maria tore up her passport and refused to leave Belarus.

11 years of imprisonment in a general regime colony
Evgeny, one of the founders of the Zubr movement, was arrested on September 25, 2020 and convicted of "preparing for mass riots." He has been repeatedly subjected to repression: fines, arrests, beatings, and pressure.
In April 2022, he was transferred to a prison regime for a term of 2 years. In May 2024, Evgeny returned from a closed prison to IK No. 1 in poor physical condition, but retained a positive attitude. Upon arrival, he was placed in a punishment cell, then transferred to a PKT.
In July 2024, the court decided to transfer Evgeniy to prison regime until the end of his sentence.
Trial outcome 25.05.2021: 7 years of imprisonment under enhanced security conditions.
