Ekaterina participated in social projects, for example, she spoke about the “Names” project.

In 2020, she retrained in administrative law and began defending victims of repression. Ekaterina volunteered as a lawyer for those jailed for 24 hours and also defended Stepan Latypov before her license was revoked.

Detained in 2025 for political reasons.

In October 2020, four reserve officers addressed law enforcement personnel, urging them to reflect, maintain honor, and protect the people. The recording featured reserve officers Major Andrei Dichko, Lieutenant Colonel Sergei Bend, Lieutenant Colonel Sergei Shpak, and Major Andrei Bakurenko .

The appellate court remanded the case for retrial. Ultimately, the case was dismissed due to the statute of limitations, and Andrei was released from the courtroom.
