Alexander Syrytsa was one of the top basketball referees in Belarus for many years. He has been a FIBA referee since 2005. In 2019, Syrytsa and his colleagues filed a lawsuit against the basketball federation, lost, and was blacklisted. He lived in Australia, ran a business, and frequently visited Ukraine.

A former journalist for Media-Polesye, Yevgeny was severely beaten during the protests.
On August 10, 2020, Yevgeny went to the protests as a journalist. He was detained , first beaten by police in the Pinsk City Executive Committee restroom, then in a police van. He was then taken to the Pinsk City Police Department's shooting range, where Ales Romanovich saw him badly beaten. He was then placed in the Pinsk temporary detention facility, and then taken to the pretrial detention center of the Ivatsevichi colony, where security forces had housed some of the detainees.
A week after the beating, the journalist still had bruises. It was reported that traces of the beating remained on his face even a month later, including deep scars. Media-Polesye also reported at the time that its employee had suffered an eye injury.
According to human rights activists , he was released in the fall of 2025, having fully served his sentence.
Pro-government Telegram channels claim that the girl had been abroad for several years.

Alexander is a Pinsk resident, he was accused of participating in a protest that took place on the night of August 9-10, 2020 in Pinsk (at that time he was a minor). According to the prosecution, on the night of August 9-10, 2020, Dmitry, “being on the roadway and acting in a group of people, shouted slogans, demonstrated white-red-white banners, deliberately obstructed the movement of vehicles and the work of organizations, thereby taking an active part in group actions that grossly violated public order and were accompanied by disobedience to the legal demands of government officials.”
