The trial itself was held in a show trial, outside the court building, in front of students from the Polytechnic and Agricultural Colleges. Konopatsky and Molchan were taken into custody in public view after the verdict was announced.
The essence of the claims against Molchan and Konopatsky was that in the summer of 2021, in the village of Dyatlovichi (Luninetsky district of the Brest region), the state flag was removed from a store. According to the prosecution, the young people then burned the flag in the forest. Thus, according to the prosecution and the judge, the crime of "desecration of a state symbol" occurred.
According to the court, the essence of the charge against everyone was that on August 10, 2020, people in Brest "shouted slogans, whistled, clapped their hands, demonstrated white-red-white banners, and went out onto the roadway." In doing so, they allegedly grossly violated public order.
According to human rights activists , he will be released in the spring of 2025.

Kotlyarov was detained in the spring of 2024 after publishing several videos in which he criticized the actions of an official of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee, Andrei Baranovsky.

According to the prosecutor's office , Artem decided to deposit money through an information kiosk in June of this year, but was unable to complete the planned transaction. So, upon returning home, he "called a contact center employee at Belarusbank and, during the conversation, made negative comments about the President of the Republic of Belarus."
Investigative authorities and the prosecutor's office qualified this as a "public insult," as it "was committed in the presence of an outsider—an employee of the contact center of JSC ASB Belarusbank, who subsequently conveyed this information to others (management)." Essentially, the bank employee herself "revealed" the contents of a private conversation.
The investigation also determined that Artem's statements were "humiliating, undermining the authority of the Head of State, his personal and professional qualities, as well as the authority of state power as a whole."
He was scheduled to be released onNovember25,2025.
