Propagandists claim that Kuprienko was recruited by Ukrainian intelligence services. On the evening of June 28, 2024, sudden information appeared about the release of five political prisoners from Belarusian colonies. According to the prosecution, an online comment written on April 22, 2022 under a video of Alexander Grigorievich’s speech was considered a public insult to Lukashenko. This message contained obscene language.

Witnesses at the trial were two other chat participants – friends of Karpeshko, who had previously been brought to administrative responsibility under Article 19.11 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus.
At the trial, the materials of the Karpeshko case indicated that the man had left a message in a «public chat in Telegram».
