Acts as a state prosecutor in politically motivated cases. Acted as a state prosecutor in the case of Svetlana Bratenkova, who was charged under Part 1 of Article 342 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus for active participation in several unauthorized mass events, where Svetlana, according to the prosecution, "loudly clapped her hands, went out onto the roadway and obstructed the movement of public transport, thereby grossly violating public order and the peace of citizens." The woman did not admit her guilt. Zavadich requested a restriction of freedom for Svetlana with referral to an open-type correctional facility for 2 years. He acted as the state prosecutor in the case of Gleb Gotovko, who was convicted of committing crimes under Part 1 of Article 342 of the Criminal Code, Part 2 of Article 363, Article 364 and Part 1 of Article 435 of the Criminal Code, and was also sentenced to imprisonment for a term of 4 years to be served in a general regime penal colony. Gleb was accused of participating in a spontaneous protest after the registration of presidential candidates, where he kicked OMON officer Alexei Misyuchenko in the side and disobeyed OMON senior lieutenant Dmitry Chernik, and also of evading military conscription due to fears of contracting COVID-19 in the barracks. Gleb admitted his guilt only in the latter case.

Svetlana was convicted in March 2021 under the article for "participation in group actions that grossly violate public order." According to the prosecution, she took an active part in unauthorized mass protests on August 16 and 23, as well as September 6, 2020. During the protests, she clapped her hands, went out onto the roadway and, as alleged, interfered with the movement of public transport on Nemiga, Volodarsky, Lenin Streets and Independence Avenue, thereby violating public order.
According to human rights activists, Svetlana was released in June 2023 after serving her full sentence.
