Former officer of the special detachment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs "Almaz", at the time of his dismissal from it he served with the rank of captain. He is credited with participating in the brutal dispersal of protesters at the intersection of Pushkin and Pritytsky (metro station Pushkinskaya). Then a large group of armed men in full ammunition left the Almaz base in the area of Kalvariyskaya Street and went towards Pushkinskaya, simultaneously shooting at point-blank range at civilians.

According to our information, Chemyakin made the fundamental decision to leave the service after receiving an order to detain Kolesnikova as part of the Almaz group - she was abducted on the street in Minsk in September 2020.

The "criminal group" included Prokopiev, Vitaly, Anastasia, Vladislav and Olga Voitekhovichi, Sergei Lisovsky, Nikolai Roy, Vladimir Savenkov, Sergei Sokolov, Pyotr Yurkevich, Igor Chemyakin and others.
