A former journalist for Media-Polesye, Yevgeny was severely beaten during the protests.
On August 10, 2020, Yevgeny went to the protests as a journalist. He was detained , first beaten by police in the Pinsk City Executive Committee restroom, then in a police van. He was then taken to the Pinsk City Police Department's shooting range, where Ales Romanovich saw him badly beaten. He was then placed in the Pinsk temporary detention facility, and then taken to the pretrial detention center of the Ivatsevichi colony, where security forces had housed some of the detainees.
A week after the beating, the journalist still had bruises. It was reported that traces of the beating remained on his face even a month later, including deep scars. Media-Polesye also reported at the time that its employee had suffered an eye injury.
According to human rights activists , he was released in the fall of 2025, having fully served his sentence.
The case was initiated for distributing and distributing leaflets calling for votes to be counted fairly.

Ilya himself admitted that the can could have flown, but none of the police officers confirmed this, and the specific victim was not named.

Valentin was detained in a criminal case opened after a protest that took place in Pinsk on the night of August 9-10, 2020 against falsifications in the presidential elections. After the detention, the man felt ill and was taken under escort to the Pinsk Central Hospital, where he was diagnosed with a pre-infarction condition and placed in intensive care. Sergei was convicted of participating in "mass riots" in a criminal case opened due to protests and clashes between Pinsk residents and security forces on the night of August 9-10, 2020.
