Pro-government telegram channels posted the “repentance video” with Gomel resident Alexander Ainutdinov on July 18. In it, a man says that on February 24, when Russia started the war in Ukraine, he began “reading different telegram channels” and decided to join the Kastus Kalinowski Regiment to defend Ukraine. To do this, Alexander tried to illegally cross the border with Ukraine, but was detained by Belarusian border guards.

On 02/03/2024, the appeal was considered and the verdict came into force.
