Vladimir was detained on May 9, 2023 at the Terespol-Brest border crossing when returning to Belarus. His phone was checked and then he was detained.

According to the investigation, on the night of March 20, a 20-year-old man tore down four state flags in the agro-town of Loshnitsa. He damaged the flags and broke the poles.

And already on March 22, 2023, the man was placed in a pre-trial detention center on criminal charges for comments about Lukashenka and the Belarusian military. According to human rights activists , there was such a comment about the military: "pi * duki" (it was with the asterisk sign that the comment imputed to Oleg was).

Safanovich was accused of writing messages in a Telegram chat on October 25, 2020, calling for road closures. According to the prosecution and the court, in his first message, Safanovich "called for active participation in group actions in the Luninets district that grossly violate public order," i.e. Safanovich allegedly committed a crime under Part 1 of Article 342 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.
Safanovich was also charged under Part 1 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, i.e. public slander against Lukashenko.
