At first, Oleg was convicted under an administrative article, part 2 of article 19.11 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (Distribution of extremist materials) for sending a telegram post from the Mustache Lukashenko channel in private messages to a friend. For this, the man was sentenced to 10 days of arrest. And already on March 22, 2023, the man was placed in a pre-trial detention center on criminal charges for comments about Lukashenka and the Belarusian military. According to human rights activists , there was such a comment about the military: "pi * duki" (it was with the asterisk sign that the comment imputed to Oleg was).

During Prokopchuk's stay in a pre-trial detention center, he had a third child, but this did not affect the court's decision.

Mikhail Stolyarchuk was convicted under Article 358-1 of the Criminal Code (intelligence activities). He is a Ukrainian citizen. His nephew, Dmitry Gudik, was also charged in the case. According to the prosecution, they had been collecting data on military equipment and facilities in Belarus on behalf of the Security Service of Ukraine since 2018. Igor Dirko was also detained with them, but instead of being prosecuted, he was deported from Belarus.
