Igor was at large in the status of a suspect for active participation in group actions that grossly violated public order. On March 24, the measure of restraint was changed for him and he was placed in custody in SIZO-7 pending trial.
Igor's wife Yulia is also a defendant in this case. She was assigned three years of restriction of freedom without a referral (“home chemistry”), however, on October 13, 2021, her house was searched and then she was detained as part of a criminal case and sentenced to 4 years and 9 months in prison. There are three children in the family.

On the evening of August 11, 2020, when protests against the results of the presidential elections were taking place in Minsk, Nikita Kochur met with his brother and his wife on Nekrasov Street to show off a recently purchased motorcycle. The police drove up to them, the traffic police officers approached Kochur and began demanding his documents. Kochur, in turn, asked the officers to introduce themselves and show their service IDs. As a result, Nikita was pulled off the motorcycle, thrown to the ground, beaten with batons, and then taken to the police station.
